Based on my research, Anemia is caused by many reasons, such as blood loss, Lack of red blood cell production and high rates of red blood cell destruction.

From the link in my source, I also learned that a diet that lacks iron, folic acid (folate), or vitamin B12 can prevent your body from making enough red blood cells.
